“I can’t guarantee the fish will always cooperate exactly how we want, but I can guarantee that I put every ounce of my heart and soul into every trip I take.” Capt. Bobby Dove, originally of Gloucester, Virginia; grew up fishing all over Virginia and Maryland, mostly upon the Chesapeake Bay.
After being stationed on Eglin, AFB and while serving as a Green Beret in the US Army Special Forces; Bobby was injured by an IED, while driving a dirt bike on combat patrol in Afghanistan, resulting in amputations of his dominant hand and leg, as well as many other life threatening injuries. Bobby’s immediate determination to overcome all obstacles was evident from day one of his recovery. Through his dedication and hard work he returned to duty 7 months after his injury and deployed again to participate on a non-combat deployment only 12 months post injury.
Since medically retiring, Bobby now owns and operates Hooligan Charters. He also invests an enormous amount of time with nonprofit organizations that strive to help wounded service members return to the outdoors. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Special Operations Wounded Warriors. He has vowed to continue to succeed and take his life and recovery into his own hands. He plans to use Hooligan Charters to provide for his family, promote community involvement, and assist other service members in need.
Capt. Bobby uses light tackle and his Crevalle 26′ Open to achieve a level of success that competes with the biggest charters around. His 5-Star reviews on both Facebook and Google Business speak for themselves!
